Remember when you scream into a fan it splits up the sound of your voice and it sounds funny? Well, now that the fans are out the kids are rediscovering this.
A gigantic vanilla ice cream!
We made these huge ice cream cones with cardboard, fabric and stuffing. I didn't have any thing but white paint to I added cinnamon, taragon, soy sauce and cumin to the paint and it darkened it and make the cones smell sweet and yummy!

Here is Sabine, perched on our dirty laundry, which if fine with me as long as someone named Makaela doesn't come along and drop her down the laundry shoot. The door for the shoot is just to the right of Sabine's back. It's a really good thing there was lots of dirty laundry at the bottom of the shoot down in the basement when this happened. That was scary!
At the Teddy Bear Tea Time even in Vancouver Washington, we had yummy cookies, games, face painting and, oh, the best part was seeing the adults dressed up as elves doing races on tiny tricycles. That was funny and it kinda made up for the fact that there wasn't any tea to be had. 
A beautiful day to play in the snow...even if it's man made. Mt. Hood didn't have very much snow when we went up a few weekends ago.
Things have changed since then, I'm sure there is alot of snow now.

Makaela and Isaac have a tea party. Isn't it fun how you can use a cinnamon stick as a straw? We painted this set ourselves, it's a little messy, but still meaningfull. 
Isaac loves this contraption at the museum. The air filled balls fly up the tube with a burst of air and shoot out into a funnel with a tube that comes down. He played with this forever.

My Mom bought us a membership to the OMSI, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry...and we are soooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!! We plan on going once a week!
Water table time! I put towels down all around the table and floor and let the kids play with water. They measure and pour, and spill and splash and it's fun for them for a hour or more. There is always a huge puddle of water on the floor when they are done, but it's worth the mess.

Here's is our new Kitty. We named her Sabine. Here Isaac shows me that he's not holding her by her neck this time. 
Well we grew several corn stalks this summer, but this is the only ear that was edible, and it's a little tiny one perfect for little hands to hold. Isaac Timmy really likes corn!

I love this picture because Makaela is in the middle of saying the word "Mom", and I love the way her little lips look forming the O sound. So cute.
Makaela was really stoked when Sean came home with these knee and elbo pads and a pair of snow goggles for her. 
Makaela is so good to Isaac most of the time. When I asked her why she was such a good big sister, she said "because I want to". I almost got tears in my eyes. She's so sweet.

I gave Sean a Wii for his birthday... it's too bad it was made of flour and sugar and was gone by the next day. Sorry honey, I only had enough for this perishable replica.
At the dinasour exhibit at the Portland Children's museum, Makaela climbs into the dinasour egg nest to rest.
At a party, our kids were entertained by this drawing board with which water is used and then it dries quickly for more drawing.
Yeah, it would be nice to have a double stroller, but I can still fit both of them in the single...for now. They have fun riding together.
Uncle Mike let's little Isaac sleep on him during the wedding because Sean and I performed during the ceremony. We did a folk version of "Be Thou My Vision". Of course Mike is a wonderful Uncle, so great with kids and such a friendly guy, but he and Sean look and sound so much alike, I think Isaac thought Mike was Sean half the time. 
Makaela had the hugest bug bite on the tip of her nose the day of Lindsay's and Grady's wedding. Here she tries to put a flower on Isaac's shirt.
Makaela was the flower girl and her cousin Connell was the ring bearer for Grady and Lindsay's wedding late June. The ceremony was wonderful except for when the kids fell down the stairs together...they almost cried, but everyone else laughed...poor kids.
With Isaac's head flopping around in these built in car seats, once he fell asleep, we secured his head to the seat with a strap...it looks really funny but it did the trick.
Cousin Brogan and Makaela get reaqainted after not seeing each other for a year, since our wedding last July.
Makaela plays Aunti Christie's violin and talks about it for hours and hours. She really wants to learn how to play. 
Daddy carries on of the crying children on his back....Mommy carries the other and her arm gets really sore.
Isaac's got the water gun pointing the wrong way. He's trying to get me, but he just sprays himself...he he he.

here the kids are at a water park in nw Portland. It's the best one around. They're just getting used to it here in this photo. A few minutes later, they're both drenched and having a blast.
Those of you who aren't fortunate enough to see Isaac regularly should know that this is a classic "Isaac" look...he puckers his lips when he's concentrating and there is almost always a droplet of drool on his chin. See it...look carefully, lower right chin.
This is the day we moved to our new place in Vancouver, Washington.
We dropped the kids off with a friend and moved our things up to our wonderful new house in downtown Vancouver. The city has alot of growing up to do, but as I always say..."i'm rooting for Vancouver". Eventually, one day, it will be the cool city next to Portland. Right now, it's in need of neat shops, not empty store fronts. But they say, that in 5 years, this place will be booming, and I believe it.
Here the crabs sit with us in the U-haul on our way up to Vancouver, the day of our move. They were our sole companion on this crazy long day of ten hours moving and being away from our kids (thankyou Corry for watching them, I still owe you 3 babysitting gigs). During our moving day we picked up a washer and dryer and a pool table! It was worth it though. Now we have a fully fenced yard around our house, we can walk to four parks, a pool and a water play area, we have room to grow veggies and flowers. Isaac and Makaela are sleeping in the same room and most of the time "through the night", and Isaac is weaned! Sean has his turntables set up downstairs in the basement, as well as all of our play bikes and kids art supplies. All in All I think our family is much happier here. The kids took a few days to get used to the idea of playing outside multiple times a day. At the apartment, we'd have to plan our trip to the back yard because we had to walk around the entire apartment complex, but now we can just step outside into our own yard. And for us, this is something that the kids have needed for a long time, especially with summer approaching.

While Makaela colors, Isaac practices taking the pen cap off and putting it back on again, over and over again.
Beading on the bed. I dump all the beads out and Makaela makes a new necklace or bracelet, and Isaac can't get to her to destroy the process. Notice how speedy her hands are moving, they're even blurry in the picture because she's moving so fast. 
Isaac rests on the back of a turtle at the "Mall Park". It's a great indoor play area in the mall that we go to when it's raining and the kids want to play somewhere.

If we pretend that we're dinosaurs eating trees, Makaela will eat all of her broccoli without complaining, and she'll ask for more! This trick works everytime.

Makaela gets the clever idea to try on Mommy's panties. She laughs hysterically and her but looks so funny in them I had to take a picture. 
Makaela has her first Pony ride at Lee Farms. She loved it!!! We picked out our Chirstmas tree and had it cut down for us. It looks so beautiful.
Isaac is so proud to be sitting up in this rocking chair. This is my kids great Grandfathers chair when he was little.
